Free Wi-Fi Hotspots for the relief workers and residents who are displaced.
One hotspot is at the Joplin Chamber of Commerce building at 4th and Kentucky that covers the area outside to the City Hall. We have also set up a Wi-Fi hotspot in the South parking lot at 10th and Main at the Gryphon Building. Our business office is on the 3rd floor, but there is Wi-Fi in the south parking lot, 1st and 3rd floors for anyone needing to access the internet free of charge. We will continue to turn on free hotspots throughout the Joplin area and will make those actual locations available through media channels and our web sites, Joplin.com, Neosho.net, 4State.com and StoufferComm.net.
There were several tower locations hit by lightning and one of our tower locations was leveled as it was in the direct path of the tornado. We are currently working to get all of our current customers back up or get their service moved to their new location. If you are a new customer looking to get our service we ask you to please be patient. We do want you as our customer. Our goal is to restore service to our existing customers prior to signing up new customers. This business stand is not popular but we feel it is the right way to service the community. When you become our customer you will soon appreciate the fact that "At Stouffer Communications, You're not just a number, You're our neighbor".
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been affected by the tornado. We share your grief and we are here to offer you, our neighbors any assistance we can to help our community make it through this tragic event. Please contact us at 417-626-0638 or 800-218-9426 if there is anything we can do to help.
